It can be comforting to know that even though all the changes are daunting at first, things will get easier, I promise!
3 helpful hints to get you started on your plant-based journey.
1) Hydration
At the risk of stating the obvious.... drinking water is an important part of a healthy regime!
One of the challenges people face when getting started with a plant-based diet is the period where your body starts to detox as your body transitions from addiction to unhealthy foods and can feel pretty rotten if you’re not hydrating.
Plenty of water, green tea, herbal tea and lemon water will help to avoid nasty withdrawal symptoms like headaches, muscle cramps and low energy… it feels like the flu and can sabotage your first days on the new plan.
Lifestyle changes are hard enough as it is without feeling sick to boot!
2) Uncompromising self-care…No excuses!
Self-care can feel selfish. 🙋
The thing is we can't help anyone else if we’re sick and miserable. You know that old analogy about the airplane oxygen mask? Yup, put it on YOU 👈 first so you can show up as your best self for those you love!
When people, places and things mess with your inner peace it might be time to let them go. Self-care looks like hot baths, herbal tea and candles, but it can also mean saying "NO" to things that don't serve you.
3) Prepare for success
· choose healthful plant-based recipes
· learn the basics of plant-based eating
· set yourself up in an environment of success right out of the gate; pitch junk foods, clean up your meal prep space, and stock your pantry and fridge with food from your new plan

You're busy, but your health and your family's health is still top of mind. Sometimes you've had to resort to fast food, but you're ok with cooking some simple, easy recipes that the family will like - it's just hard to make the time to do the research and figure out what healthy meals to make.
Let's start with ten FREE tips to help your family get healthier. Copy and paste the below link into your browser:

3 helpful hints to get your family started on a more plant-based journey.
1) Keep it simple
Search for simple plant-based recipes without a lot of ingredients. Ideally recipes that are focused on families and have even been tested with kids.
2) Make it fun
Let kids help out when you can. Teach them the basics of how to use a peeler (peeling AWAY from you and watch your fingers.) Show them how to use measuring spoons and cups (bonus, helps learn fractions!). Get a kid-safe knife to start teaching knife skills. These work great for veggies like cucumbers or celery, but watch them carefully with hard or large, round veggies like potatoes or carrots.
3) Plan for success
Start by identifying just two simple, plant-based recipes you'd like to try with your family and start a list of recipe names in the notes section of your phone. If your family likes the recipe, keep the recipe in notes section, if not, delete it. Add two more to test. Repeat until you have a list of 14 go-to recipes that you've got most of the ingredients for on hand.
