1. Realize: Our Very Existence Pleases God . . . From the moment God imagined us in eternity past, He was delighted in us. We are a pleasure to Him. SCRIPTURE: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11

2. Accept: That God’s Love For Us Has Never Fluctuated . . . One second before we received Jesus, He was madly in love with us. A second later, it had not increased. How could it? He was already at peak love. SCRIPTURE: “…God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

3. Know: God Views Us NOT Based on the Bad We’ve Done, But the Good He’s Done On Our Behalf . . . God doesn’t fixate on what we have done wrong. He’s covered that with His blood if we have repented and asked forgiveness. He focuses on what He’s done right on our behalf by taking the punishment that we deserve. SCRIPTURE: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

4. Stop: Begging and Start Believing . . . When we have been “Born Again” and saved by what Jesus has done for us by dying for our sins and rising from the dead, we become sons and daughters of God. We pray to Him as Believers and NOT Beggars. Begging God is called “Casino Christianity,” saying, “Come on, Jesus. Do it for me!” SCRIPTURE: “…he (God) predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,…” Ephesians 1:5

5. Stand: on the Promises of God and NOT the Problems We Face . . . Problems are temporary. God’s Promises are eternal. SCRIPTURE: “…He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature…” 2 Peter 1:4

6. Believe: Not Just That God Loves Us, But That He Likes Us and Loves Being With Us . . . Since God, in His foreknowledge, has already seen our entire life play out, what He thinks of us is based on a complete panorama of our entire existence. Either He’s always liked us, or He’s never liked us. SCRIPTURE: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3) “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1John 4:10)

7. Move: From the Expectation Line to the Acceptance Line . . . We see God answer a prayer, and within a short time, we’re back in the Expectation Line, asking for something else. It’s an addictive cycle I call “Crack Christianity.” The Acceptance Line is filled with faith, trust, and anticipation of what God is doing and will do in your life. We are as accepted to the Father as Jesus was. SCRIPTURE: “…He has made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:6

8. Get: All Our Prayers Answered . . . God’s Word promises that we can get every prayer answered, if our prayers have been initiated by God, and not us. The purpose of prayer is not to get answers, but to get to know God. SCRIPTURE: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” 1 John 5:14-15

9. Embrace: The Fact That We Have Been Created To Overcome . . . Seven times in Revelation 2 and 3 the Bible says, “to him who overcomes… I will…” and then God’s promises us a blessing. (Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:26, 3:5, 3:12, 3:21) That’s God’s heart for each of us: to be overcomers. We are more than conquerors. SCRIPTURE: “…overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Romans 8:37

10. Understand: That God Wants To Bless Our Lives More Than We Can Even Imagine . . . Problems are temporary. God’s Promises are eternal. SCRIPTURE: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
