Kali, The Liberator
What are the 10 Feminine Superpowers?
In tantric philosophy, there are 10 aspects of the divine feminine, also known as the 10 forms of Shakti which translates into feminine power. The 10 feminine superpowers are also referred to as “Dus Mahavidyas, 10 wisdom goddesses and even 10 forms of goddess Kali”. Each goddess has her own story, association with Shiva, her divine masculine counterpart. She has a personality, lights & shadows, and can guide you to your own liberation. The 10 Shakti forms be seen as creative forces, untapped superpowers, psychological metaphors, devotional deities, wisdom goddesses, or even all the above.
Kali, The Liberators Story:
With her sword, Kali chops of the head of a demon, resembling the
egos, labels, identities that hold us back from our true nature & living our lives!
Kali is the kundalini, metaphorically the coiled snake at the base of the spine, which
travels up the chakras healing & destroying what no longer serves us.
Until she reaches the crown chakra, Shiva, the masculine, her lover who
awaits her, & provides the platform on which she can create, heal, &
express. She steps off Shiva & embraces him. Just because patriarchy has
wounded us, it doesn't mean women should block desire & love from a man/lover.

You demand soul-level honesty & integrity. You want to be met emotionally, physically & spirituality. You attract deep, transformative love and burn through illusions, never settling for anything less than raw authenticity.

Tara, The Mother’s or the Nurturer’s Story:
After Lord Shiva drank poison from the ocean in order to save life, he fell unconscious. Shakti in the form of goddess Tara, which translates as
"star", breastfed him back to consciousness. Tara can remind you of your
ability to create your life again after endings. She also rids you of your excuses,
justifications, & urges you to face the painful truth that might feel "poisonous". So that you can be your most true, authentic self, even if it means endings like losing a job that wasn't serving you or a relationship that kept you small. Tara can represent the caring
mother archetype within you who can "'nurse" yourself back to life, even if you didn't receive care growing up.
Love:
You heal through softness, gentleness and presence. Partners feel emotionally safe and nourished, and your love invites deep connection. Tara helps you master the balance of nurturing your relationships while still nourishing yourself.
Leadership:
You lead through empathy, nurture & intuition. You understand how health equals wealth, and care about the wellbeing of your employees &/or aligned systems for your brand because that energy impacts the energy of your business. People & clients trust your guidance because you see their needs before they speak them.
Feminine Lifestyle:
You move in tune with your emotional tides, retreating when you need rest and opening fully when your heart blooms. Ritual and gentle self-care are your anchors. You “nurse” your emotions & body back to life. You know how to be a mother to yourself when you need it!
Rituals & Exercises to evoke Tara, the Mother:
Want to be her but don’t quite feel like Tara? Imagine you holding your heart in your arms and cradling your heart. How would you hold your heart, I.e. firmly, gently, protective? What emotions come up? What would you say to your heart? What would your heart say to you?
Sundari, The Lover or Beautiful One
What are the 10 Feminine Superpowers?
In tantric philosophy, there are 10 aspects of the divine feminine, also known as the 10 forms of Shakti which translates into feminine power. The 10 feminine superpowers are also referred to as “Dus Mahavidyas, 10 wisdom goddesses and even 10 forms of goddess Kali. The 10 Shakti forms be seen as creative forces, untapped superpowers, psychological metaphors, devotional deities, wisdom goddesses, or even all the above.
Sundari, The Lover’s or the Beautiful One’s Story
The beauty of three worlds, Tripura Sundari can be represented by an upside down triangle, a symbol of the yoni or womb. She is also known as Shodashi, who is a 16 year old girl, representing the 16 desires and is also called the one who is “innocent” and the “one who plays”. Through this tantric goddess, you can explore what rebirth, youth, desire, sensuality, beauty, playfulness, childlike curiosity & innocence means to you even. There are my western feminine archetypes that describe her from the Maiden to The Lover & The Sensual One. Perhaps a part of your childhood youth was taken or you feel disconnected from your sensuality & femininity. Maybe life feels really stagnant and you don’t know what you really want…Sundari can aid you to bring back life, beauty , love & desire & reclaim these parts of yourself.
After Lord Shiva's wife Sati passed away, he danced the
dance of destruction in rage. Parts of Sati's body fell to the
earth & became sacred places, or temples where the goddess
could be worshiped. In despair, Shiva immersed himself into deep meditation
on top of a mountain.
Years passed by & Sati reincarnated as goddess
Parvati. She longed to reunite with Shiva once again but he
was so withdrawn from the world in deep penance.
There are many tales about how Parvati is able to reconnect
with her lover, one being through Kamdev, or the love
god, who played "Cupid". The other tale is through goddess
Sundari, or goddess of desire.
Tripura Sundari is the goddess of beauty, sensuality, desire,
playfulness & childlike innocence as well as a
manifestation of goddess Parvati herself.
She circled around Shiva in meditation & sat in front of
him eventually, allowing Shiva to recognize who she really
was, his lover reincarnated. Sundari allows us to recognize
our true selves & desires that we hold within. Sundari helps
us honor our desires, in fact see them as necessary & discern from greed and ego.
She can show us that after difficult endings in our life, it is okay to
desire again so that we can create & live our life!
We can "reincarnate" once again.

Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, is the 4th goddess from the 10 Tantric goddesses, otherwise known as the Dus Mahavidyas, 10 forms of Kali, and wisdom goddesses. She is the goddess of space and the universe!

Brahman (god of creation)
Vishnu (god who maintains creation)
and Shiva (god of destruction)

When Brahman, Vishnu, & Shiva bowed down to goddess Bhuvaneshwari, they saw a glimpse of multiple universes just within her toe nail.
Just like the gods, Bhuvaneshwari can open our minds in moments when we limit ourselves to our egos & identities.
For example, you probably have a particular idea of what the path to success might look like for you but Bhuvaneshwari can open us up to multiple paths of success and experiences life has to offer. Bhairavi, The Disciplined One
Each goddess has her own story, association with Shiva, her divine masculine counterpart, has a personality, lights & shadows. The 10 Shakti forms be seen as creative forces, untapped superpowers, psychological metaphors, devotional deities, wisdom goddesses, or even all the above to guide you on your transformation!
In the heart of cosmic chaos, Bhairavi rose,
Dark as midnight, eyes aflame, a warrior of the soul.
With hair like storm clouds and a garland of bones,
She shattered illusions, burned ego to ash,
And whispered: “Fear not death, for through destruction, you are free.”
She is the fire that clears the old,
The sword that cuts attachment,
The mother who awakens power hidden deep within.
She guards souls who rest in the graveyard. She’s devoted. She shows up every when it’s hard.
This discipline is what I appreciate about Bhairavi the most. Shes fierce, a warrior and perhaps the most scariest looking of all the goddesses. What’s unheard of in our everyday world is discipline & devotion. Covered in the ashes of the deceased while guarding souls in the cremation grounds…takes a lot of discipline & devotion to do.
At first glance, discipline isn’t romanticized or appealing, but is the KEY behind your manifestations. In a world where everyone receives instant gratification with a click of a button ….discipline for your superpower will take you to great heights!
Origin and Story:
Bhairavi is considered one of the Mahavidyas, the ten great wisdom goddesses. She embodies shakti (divine feminine energy) in its most intense form—fierce, fearless, and liberating.
According to mythology:
Bhairavi is believed to have been born from the anger of Goddess Parvati when she assumed a terrifying form to destroy demons or protect cosmic order.
She is often depicted as dark-skinned, with disheveled hair, three eyes, and a garland of skulls, holding weapons and a noose.
Bhairavi’s purpose is to cut through ego, attachment, and fear, guiding devotees toward truth and ultimate liberation.
She is associated with time, death, and transformation, showing that destruction is necessary for creation and spiritual growth.
Love:
You love with intensity, devotion, and sacred passion. Your connections ignite deep emotional and spiritual intimacy. You are devoted to your partner and community. You value & love so deeply that your devotion reflects integrity, devotion & discipline you have for yourself. To stick to your boundaries and not sway. To show up consistently for love.
Leadership:
You are disciplined and purpose-driven. You inspire with commitment, focus, and sacred determination. When you have an idea, a message, you are disciplined in carrying it through till the end fearlessly! Remember bhairavi, is has a fierce warrior like almost scary appearance ….no matter how scary life gets, she sticks it out till the end!
Feminine Lifestyle:
Ritual and routine are your power tools. You rise with your power phase, rest during your luteal descent, and honor your path through devotion to body, craft, and life.
Ritual to Evoke Bhairavi, The Disciplined One
Find a daily ritual or routine and do it with devotion…from skincare, cooking a meal, brushing your teeth to a meditation practice…remember the importance & value it brings to your body & your life while you do it!

Dhumavati, The Wise Woman's Story:
Goddess Dhumavati literally translates as “smoke”. The term goddess is usually associated with conventional beauty, but Dhumavati is described as inauspicious, old, ugly, a widow, an outcast and is marginalized from mainstream society. She has silver hair, dressed in white and a face full of wrinkles, she sits on her chariot that has no horses. Crows surround her. She can be seen as the crone.
Dhumavati, helps us face our fears about death, endings, aging, and life chapters coming to an end. She also represents “the void” or transition that occurs right before a new creation, or life chapter is about to begin. Any uncertainty you have about a situation, relationship, career, or path that you should take at this time, Dhumavati will help clear away “the smoke” that clouds up your mind so you can see the truth and feel liberation…but first she lets you sit in the smoke and be okay with it.
Your superpower is learning to find acceptance & wisdom when you feel stuck & lost. Hustle culture overvalues hustling…when in reality we need chapters to feel slow & stagnant. While uncomfortable, there is privilege in not having a specific direction to walk on…your body rests, your nervous system catches up to the changes you’ve been going through
This is an exciting time because a new journey awaits and things will pick up again…that’s the natural law of life…so you might as well savor this quiet time in your life!
Love:
You are wise in love & relationships. You embrace “endings” openly…you see the wisdom behind the void. You understand why stuckness & cycles continue to play out.

You bring perspective, foresight, and profound insight. You guide with quiet authority and clarity.
