You’re at a party where you don’t know many people. Do you start talking to strangers?
There’s a serious argument in class and nobody is taking command. Things are getting out of control, and people are swearing and crying. Will you take command and try to calm things down and mediate between the sides?
During recess, the student council organizes an activity for your year. They ask for volunteers. You don’t know if you will be laughed at or not. Will you volunteer?
There are elections for a certain role in your class. The teacher asks you to stand up and explain to the class why you are suited to this role. Could you do this without preparing, without mumbling, and without hesitation?
The popular group is organizing a party and they invite you. You have a good friend who wasn’t invited. Would you have the courage to tell them you’d like your friend to come too?
You maybe jut be a quieter person...but you may also want to build courage:
For you, confidence is just an abstract term. Your own self-confidence is on the ground. If you have a quiet personality and need to be a “wallflower”, that’s fine. But if you lack the courage to open your mouth, to talk to strangers, to know what you’re worth and appreciate your value, it’s worth checking how you could improve your self-confidence. Here’s a tip to start with: Check what your strengths are, meaning what you’re good at and what successes you’ve had in the past, and try to see how you could include these strengths in other daily activities. Good luck!
You are confident...some of the time:
In some things you have self-confidence, and in other things you don’t. It’s worth checking where your self-confidence is high (perhaps talking to the opposite sex) and where it is low (perhaps talking to strangers), and try to see what makes you feel confident in some situations and how to duplicate this in other situations when you don’t feel so sure of yourself.
You have confidence and charisma:
You have lots of self-confidence and charisma. You know what you’re worth, are never afraid to open your mouth, and not afraid to take control of a situation. You look straight in people’s eyes, stand tall, and say what you think. You’re not upset even if something you do makes people laugh at you. Well done!
