Have you ever felt like you're living on autopilot?
Days slip by, routines unfold, but you're not truly experiencing them. You might feel overwhelmed, juggling a mountain of work, household responsibilities, and family needs. Or perhaps your life seems fine on the surface, yet deep down you find yourself wondering, "Is this all there is to my life?"
You might feel like you have no choice. It's as if everything has been laid out for you, shaped by circumstances but not by your own desires and choices. Yet, deep within you, there's a strength, talent, and unique potential waiting to be discovered and nurtured.
Right now, it might be difficult to believe that change is truly possible. You yearn for something different but don't know where to start—or if it's even possible for you.
At this stage, having all the answers isn't what matters most. Feeling lost isn't a sign of failure; rather, it signals that you're beginning to question and open yourself to new possibilities.
What matters now is reclaiming your sense of personal agency.
Start by noticing what you feel, questioning what you truly want, and making small choices that put you back in the driver's seat of your life.
As your curiosity grows—about yourself and what’s possible—you'll naturally move into Stage 2: Exploration. This is your first step toward a life that's more aligned with who you truly are.
Regardless of your age, background, and experience, you may currently feel a nudge to find something 'more' and 'different' in your life.
You're beginning to imagine new possibilities you could explore, beyond your current routines. You might be revisiting old hobbies, exploring new interests, or rethinking what you truly want in life. While the status quo once felt comfortable and familiar, you're now starting to question it.
You may not know exactly what you're looking for or where all this will lead you, but the drive to explore grows stronger. Feelings of stagnation, helplessness, or lack of choices are gradually being replaced by a desire to renew and reclaim control of your life.
You're beginning to see that you have more options than you once believed. Doubts may still arise, but they no longer hold you back. You're starting to recognize your strengths and talents that may have been hidden all along. Could there be more potential within you than you've ever imagined?
At this stage, try to observe the patterns in your life. What energizes you, and what drains you? From activities and environments to relationships with others, every experience offers clues about what's important and aligned with your true self.
Shift your questions from "Is it possible?" to "What do I really want?" From "Can I do it?" to "How can I make it happen?"
Write your answers in a journal— and observe the patterns that emerge from your reflections and observations. By capturing them, you will begin to see the common thread that weave together the direction of your next chapter.
Through your experiences and lessons learned, you’re gaining a deeper understanding of the values and vision that matter most to you. You’re beginning to define your own version of what it means to Live by Design.
You're starting to recognize your unique strengths and talents, and honing them to create a more meaningful life—not just for yourself, but also for those around you.
You're beginning to recognize and celebrate your small victories—moments when your actions align with your values and vision. You’re actively challenging old limiting beliefs and stepping fully into ownership of your life.
This doesn’t mean you have all the answers or a complete picture of the future. But you trust that clarity will continue to unfold along the way, and you’re learning to navigate uncertainty with curiosity rather than fear.
At this stage, take time regularly to review your actions—are they still aligned with the vision you want to achieve? If needed, make adjustments to stay on course. Break down your big goals into small, concrete steps, and build habits that you can sustain even during challenging times.
Focus on progress, not perfection. But also prepare strategies to manage doubts and setbacks so you can keep moving forward without losing direction. One powerful approach is to build a support system— for example, having a small group of people with whom you can exchange ideas with, receive constructive feedback from, and lean on for encouragement as you continue to the next stage.
You have a clear vision—or at least a strong sense of direction for your life—and understand that clarity evolves over time. You are actively building the life you desire, making intentional choices, setting meaningful goals, and taking aligned actions that align with your values and strengths.
Challenges still arise, but you no longer see them as roadblocks—rather, you engage with them as part of your growth process. You take full responsibility for your choices and actions, knowing that you always have them, even in difficult times.
You experience deep satisfaction, joy, and peace in the simple things you do, in your day-to-day life. Living by Design is an ongoing process— one of experimenting, refining, and adapting as you evolve.
In this stage, it’s important to regularly realign your actions and vision in response to life changes, while staying true to your core values. Take time to acknowledge the joy, growth, and abundance you’ve cultivated. But never stop seeking new learning opportunities to continue growing and developing with humility.
Expand your impact by connecting with and supporting others in their journeys, share your insights and learn from theirs, building relationships that empower and uplift.
In closing, reflect periodically: "If I continue living this way, how will I feel about my life 10 years from now?”
