You are a quick-moving whirlwind of enthusiasm, creativity, and dynamism. Like the wind itself, Vata types are always on the go, seeking new horizons.
Trait 1:
Do you walk and talk quickly? Have physical and mental energy that comes in bursts? Love new experiences? Changeability is one of the hallmarks of breezy Vata types. Sleep may be elusive, and you may often skip meals or keep irregular hours. Ironically, routine is one of the best ways to balance Vata.
Trait 2:
Vata types vary in size and shape, but they generally have slender or willowy frames. Cool hands and feet are common traits, as are delicate skin and fine hair. Vata types are often extremely sensitive people who find themselves exhausted by stimulation even as they crave it. “Everything in moderation” is key for Vata.
Trait 3:
Vata types tend to learn things quickly and forget them just as fast. When stressed, you may be prone to occasional worry and sleeplessness. But take heart! When in balance, Vata types are among the most vibrant, creative people among us.
You are a natural leader—a passionate, courageous person with a healthy glow, a bright intellect, and a forthright communication style. Pitta types generally have a strong presence and a healthy love of spirited competition.
Trait 1:
Are you a Type A person who thrives on a good challenge? Do you love a good debate? Do you get “hangry” if you skip meals? Intensity, perfectionism, and a strong agni (digestive fire) are among the best-known traits of fiery Pitta types. Pittas thrive on goals, though they benefit from easing up a bit—and eating meals on time!
Trait 2:
Generally speaking, Pitta types have strong, athletic builds with good muscle tone. Their skin is warm to the touch, and they may have slightly pink or ruddy skin—a rosy glow. Their gaze tends to be bright and penetrating, and they might have physical traits like freckles, silky hair, or a tendency to flush with emotion.
Trait 3:
Pitta types have strong intelligence and are quick to learn and retain new information. Under stress, they can be a little prone to hot-temperedness, irritability, and a short fuse. But when in balance they make excellent leaders, driven toward justice.
You are down to earth, easygoing, and reliable, with consistent energy levels and a harmonizing disposition. Kapha types are the teddy bears among us—good-natured and a pleasure to be around.
Trait 1:
Are you the most calm, grounded, and reliable person in your circle? Do you love nurturing others? Is “slow-and-steady wins the race” your motto? Consistency and constancy are among the most common traits of Kapha types, beloved among the dosha types. Sometimes, though, Kaphas need a little help with motivation and getting going.
Trait 2:
Kapha types are luminous in appearance. They often have large eyes, radiant skin, thick and wavy hair, and robust or voluptuous figures. They’re warm, generous, and loving by nature. In fact, it is often said that Kapha types give the best hugs around.
Trait 3:
Generally speaking, Kapha types may take a little longer to learn a new skill—but once you master it, it’s yours for life. When stressed, you might find yourself feeling lethargic, apathetic, or unable to see a task through. But when in balance, Kapha types are the most reliable, loyal, and cooperative friends, partners, and employees.
