It seems like you're all about the spooky vibes when fall rolls around, so why not get in a little fun and visit one of Alabama's many haunted house attractions? Whether you head to Popes Haunted Farm in Salem, Arx Mortis in Killen, Atrox Factory in Leeds or one of the many others, you're bound to have some scary fall fun.
A visit to a pumpkin patch is a fall must in Alabama, especially if you're going to have kiddos along for the fun. No matter where you live in the state there's likely a pumpkin patch nearby, like Tate Farms in Moores Mill, Penton Farms in Verbena, Aplin Farms in Malvern, offering up the chance to pick out your very own pumpkin and take part in other fall activities, like petting zoos, haybale climbs and more, too.
What better way to celebrate fall than to go for a stroll through one of Alabama's apple orchards. For example, at Isom's Orchard in Athens, you can pick up a basket of fresh apples as well as apple cider, slushies, donuts and more, and at Scott's Orchard in Hazel Green, you can pick your own apples right off the tree.
For some folks, fall is all about football, and that's okay! Sure, you could go to a pumpkin patch or pick some apples, but then you might miss kickoff. So instead, we suggest you celebrate fall by watching your team take the field -- whether that be from your couch, from your favorite tailgating spot or from the stadium, is up to you!
It sounds like you should take full advantage of the beautiful fall weather while we have it and spend a night or two surrounded by the great outdoors of Alabama. Just think of all the hiking you could do without breaking into a sweat (or all the s'mores you could eat over the campfire.) Not sure where to go? Here's a look at a few state parks with great camping.
