Proactive vs Passive Networking

I like to grow my network in a more organic way by relying on people I know, compared to approaching total strangers

I usually take the initiative to initiate a conversation with someone I don’t know

I like networking with friends and acquaintances as this is a low-pressure way of getting to know people

I actively and purposively reach out to people outside of my immediate social circle to get information, advice, and assistance

I prefer building relationships with people I know over time, allowing them to grow step by step

I enjoy going by myself to conferences or professional gatherings or other events as I have no problem getting to know people

I go to conferences or professional gatherings or other events only with a friend or a circle of friends so that I have people to talk to

I believe I have value to offer to individuals by sharing my expertise, offering referrals, or collaborating on projects

I rarely have the opportunity to socialize with people outside of my social circle
