You want to conquer a mountain peak (ahem... this is a metaphor). How do you approach it?
I might look at a map and read accounts of successful climbs, but it seems like so much work, and what if I don't have what it takes? I probably won't pursue it it.
I gear up and start hiking easy, familiar terrain. Maybe I'll eventually be ready to aim for the peak.
I've got summit ambitions and I want an efficient way to make it a reality, so I'll enlist in an intensive mountaineering course with expert guides.
