How can you develop Leadership?

Learning from Experienced Leaders: Learning from people you admire can help you to be a better leader. Being able to recognise and develop key attributes and apply them to your own leadership skills can make you like a more confident and competent leader.

Recognising Strengths and Weaknesses: Examine your strengths and weaknesses to be aware of what skills to take advantage of and what skills you need to improve.
- Continuously Update Your Knowledge: Keep up to date and learn new things to improve your leadership skills. The world is continuously coming up with fresh innovative methods that did not exist before. Learning new things helps to keep your mind sharp and your skills fresh. Remember, knowledge is power!
There are 4 management systems or four leadership styles, according to Likert:

Authoritarian-coercive: little trust in subordinates, motivate people through fear and punishment, downward communication.

Authoritarian-benevolent: low confidence in subordinates while patronizing, motivating with rewards, soliciting some ideas and opinions from the team.

Consultative: high trust in subordinates, control is shared with middle management objectives are set after consultation with subordinates, communication up and down.

Participatory: Decisions in this style are made by consensus, with economic but also symbolic rewards. Communication is fluid and promotes joint decision-making.
In the workplace, effective leadership means getting the best out of the people around you and bringing diverse skills and personalities together in pursuit of a common goal.
Regardless of the result of their decision, an effective leader knows how to take accountability for their choices. By doing so, you don’t just earn the respect of your members, but you also learn from your mistakes and how to make tough decisions.
